About Us

Established in July 2016, Shivalaya UK is a sacred place for devotees of Lord Shiva to come together in service and worship. Our temple is run by a dedicated family, fostering a warm and welcoming environment for spiritual seekers. We are committed to expanding our temple and its outreach—if you feel inspired, we invite you to support us through donations.

At Shivalaya UK, we honor a diversity of spiritual paths, but our focus is on three primary practices: karma yoga, the path of selfless service; bhakti yoga, the path of devotion; and gyan yoga, the path of knowledge and wisdom. Join us in our spiritual journey, as we deepen our connection with Lord Shiva and each other.

Karma Yog

Karma Yog

Karma Yog, the path of selfless action, encourages devotees to perform their duties without attachment to outcomes. It teaches that through serving others and acting with pure intentions, one purifies the heart and attains spiritual growth. Associated with Lord Ganesh, this practice removes obstacles and leads one toward liberation through dutiful and mindful action.

Bhakti Yog, the path of devotion, focuses on love and surrender to the Divine. Devotees engage in prayer, chanting, and worship to cultivate a deep emotional connection with God. With Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi as central figures, Bhakti Yog leads to spiritual fulfillment through devotion and divine love, transcending material desires.

Gyan Yog

Gyan Yog

Gyan Yog, the path of knowledge, emphasizes intellectual inquiry and self-realization. By studying spiritual texts and meditating, one seeks to uncover the truth of existence. Lord Krishna's wisdom in the Bhagavad Gita symbolizes the journey of understanding the soul's true nature, leading to enlightenment and union with the divine.
